P.R.A.S. – WAVE Art Show

Pacific Rim Arts Society, is having a local Artists showing. ‘Wave Art Show’ runs October 26-27-28 (in the Harbour Lounge) at Weigh West Resort, 634 Campbell St., Tofino.

Opening reception 7 p.m. on Monday the 26th, with beer & wine bar and live music.
The show will feature a wide range of work — sculpture, carving, painting, photography ceramics, fabrics and more. Lanterns made through the Raincoast Education Society (sponsored by Heritage Canada through the Tofino Olympic Torch Relay) will be on display, and used later on in the Torch Relay celebrations.
Tofino will be hopping during the art show with the O’Neill Coldwater Classic International Surf Competition (Oct. 25-31), and in collaboration with the Tofino Olympic Torch Relay (Nov. 1). It’s a great time to come and see all the stimulating local art, culture and people in this wild west coast town!

The show was a successful event, and we received some cross over traffic from people who attended the opening. I saw a lot of work that I liked and was surprised at the diversity of the artists who participated. Weight West resort made for a good venue ~ good room, great view, all in all Pacific Rim Arts Society puts on a pretty good show.
I was hoping to unveil a few new paintings at the show, but it looks like I’ll show 3 photos instead (been very busy – the paintings are yet unfinished, and I do have some exciting new images to print) either way I’ll be there, hope to see you there also.
I really like your blog.
