I transcribed it in it&#039;s entirety for enjoyment and educational purposes. Many people visiting (and some living here) are oblivious to the rich history of the area.</description>

		<description>This account was documented in 1954 by Elsie Anne Hillier, daughter-in-law of Mr.H.J.Hillier. It is held in the private collection of Capt. Don Foster and his wife, Lori Foster who have lived in Ucluelet a very long time.

I&#039;m told Mr.Hillier was a friendly and outgoing man who, in his later years recounted the history of this area with great pride and enthusiasm. It is reproduced here unedited, with all rights reserved by it&#039;s original author(s).</description>
